Featured Recipe: Texas Style Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup butter
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tbsp baking powder
• Pinch of salt
• 1 cup milk
• 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
• 1 cup sugar (for peaches)

Directions:

1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Melt the butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
2. Make Batter: In a bowl, combine the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until smooth.
3. Prepare Peaches: If using fresh peaches, toss them with 1 cup of sugar. If using canned peaches, you can skip adding sugar.
4. Assemble: Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish (don't stir). Spoon the peaches and any juice on top of the batter (again, don't stir).
5. Bake: Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
